This Full Moon chart is tense, nervous, conflicted and agitated as Sun in Aries, Moon in Libra and Mars in Cancer form a classic clashing cardinal T-Square.

This tension conflicts with the poised equanimity of the Libra Full Moon, which prefers to please everyone in the room and to honor every point of view.

Companionable, courteous and elegant, the Libra Full Moon will be challenged severely by conflicting energies arising from the Sun/Moon/Mars Cardinal T-Square.

To add to the emotional tsunami whipped up by the Cardinal T-Square, the Libra Moon is inconjunct Uranus in Taurus. 

Volatile emotions could arise unexpectedly in response to clashing personal priorities and larger socio-political-financial battles unfolding across the world stage.

Be aware of the potential for eruptions of anxiety, aggression, anger and angst, and take a pass whenever you're offered the opportunity to join the fray in what will most likely be a highly contentious period of time that is unlikely to result in a victory parade for anyone at all. The effects of this Full Moon may be felt for a week or more prior to and following the Full Moon.

There are some positive aspects that will help you to stay balanced, focused and grounded during the Cardinal T-Square standoff between unyielding forces locked in an existential battle royale.

Irritable Mars in Cancer forms a strong trine with Saturn in Pisces this Full Moon week, providing us with the opportunity to speak our truth from a place of grounded and centered loving wisdom. 

This Water trine provides some sense of Cosmic Flow and celestial support for all efforts to exert Saturnine control of our will forces in pursuit of our true, Higher Purpose. 

It may require a little work, and the waters around you may be turbulent, but if you can get into the flow, go with the flow! You will be rewarded for your efforts.

You'll be glad you did, because the conflicted Libra Full Moon energies are just the prelude to an intensely incendiary period of time in the last half of April which will see the return of the infamous Mars/Pluto opposition we first encountered on November 3rd of last year at the time of the American presidential election!

At that time, global conflicts in Ukraine and Middle East were white hot and the American cold civil war reached a crescendo of emotional overload as Donald Trump was elected President for the second time.

More than a dozen billionaires joined their billionaire President in the new Cabinet, and it became clear that a Pluto-cratic ruling elite was removing the mask of democracy to reveal the naked power hungry face of a 21st Century American Empire that has been in a constant state of low intensity highly distributed World War ever since 9/11.

The November 2024 Mars/Pluto opposition seems to have crystallized a great deal of the energy of America's Pluto Return, which reached its final exact crescendo on December 30, 2024.

Now, post Pluto Return,  Americans are living in a world of Pluto-cratic rulers that are cutting trillions of dollars from our tattered social safety net to fund trillions of dollars of tax cuts for billionaires.

Forget Pax Americana and the rule of international law.

These Pluto-crats have weaponized the global dollar denominated financial system and intend to use tariffs and the threat of military aggression to intimidate the rest of the world into offering yet more Imperial tribute to the American oligarchy. 

These Imperial aggressions are set to trigger an escalation of global geo-political, military and financial market volatility once we enter the final two weeks of April.

At that point this week's turbulent Full Moon could seem like a church picnic.

On April 21, the Sun in the first degree of Taurus squares Mars in the first degree of Leo, a volatile collision of Fixed Signs that indicates a conflict between opponents who don't know how to back down or de-escalate their fight.

The Taurus Sun goes on to square dark Pluto on April 23, reactivating the energy of America's Pluto Return. 

The Taurus New Moon of April 27th features an incendiary Mars/Pluto opposition, which indicates the climax of the energies we first encountered during the Presidential election.

Now those energies are manifesting in cut-throat, rapidly escalating trade wars, which have cratered financial markets in countries around the world, and threaten to plunge the world into a Great Depression 2.0.

What is Trump's overall strategy for this global trade war on every country in the world?

"The chair of the US Council of Economic Advisers, Stephen Miran, delivered a speech on April 7 in which he outlined the Trump administration’s tariff strategy," reports the GeoPoliticalEconomy website. 

"In short, the Trump administration is arguing that foreign countries must help “bear the costs” of running the US empire. Washington threatens high tariffs on nations unless they agree to make significant concessions that benefit the US economy at the expense of their own, as part of a hypothetical Mar-a-Lago Accord."

In other words, we are the global Empire, with hundreds of military bases worldwide, and our dollar is the de facto global currency so pay the Godfather now!

I'm not sure this will play well around the world. In a matter of months, America has gone from the leader of the Free World and guarantor of the post World War 2 international political and economic order to a rogue Mafia State, from the world's leading democracy to a 21st Century anarchocapitalist version of the Roman Empire, complete with Imperial Godfather-in-Chief.

China, America's main rival and the main target of the Trump tariffs, has responded by freezing exports of critical rare earths vital for high tech and military manufacturing which are US must-have imports and by raising tariffs on US imports to China.

China says they will never back down and will fight a tariff war, a trade war, and any kind of war with America, no problem, to the bitter end.

Even more ominously, the Trump team has unleashed an unprecedented military build up in the Middle East featuring the largest ever deployment of B-2 bombers in preparation for a wider war against Yemen, and perhaps Iran.

“All the bombers, they’re not in hangers, they’re underneath satellites where they can be photographed and seen; and the idea is, do you see our sword?” retired Air Force Brig. Gen. Blaine Holt, who served as Deputy U.S. Military Representative to NATO, said in an interview with Newsmax last week. Holt also said that the B-2 deployment “gives the president a military option that he can actually use these weapons against Iran if needed,” reports national security reporter Ken Klippenstein on Substack.

At home, the Pluto-crats are engaged in mass firings of tens of thousands federal employees, an immigration crackdown featuring high profile thuggish deportations of student protestors guilty of opposing the genocide in Gaza, and radical defunding of social services, universities, scientific research, the humanities and the arts.

All this represents the Dark Enlightenment version of 21st Century America, post Pluto Return, and a new social contract that mandates a war of all against all, and a winner take all economy where the .001% openly rule without the need for using politicians as surrogates in their never ending war on the 99.009%.

This domestic war on the 99% does not distract them from pursuing their never ending quest to exploit the Global South and poorer countries everywhere in an explicit neo-colonial power grab for essential resources during this global climate change emergency.

During the last weeks of April the stars suggest we can expect escalation and metaphorical and literal explosions to accompany the Pluto-cratic American Empire's ceaseless global warfare.

Nor are the bellicose energy signatures seen in the stars toward the end of April working their dark magic in the United States alone.

Germany has lifted all caps on borrowing to enable up to $600 billion in new military spending to prepare for a war with Russia that top German General Carsten Breuer expects within five years. General Breuer says that Germany will have to implement some form of forced military conscription to prepare for the looming war with Russia.

EU Commission President Ursula van der Leyen unveiled a plan last month to facilitate $800 billion in new defense spending to ready the European Union to escalate its participation in the Ukraine War and prepare for, you guessed it, a looming war with Russia. 

B2 Stealth Bomber

Of most immediate concern to the astrological community, in March, Trump issued an ultimatum to Iran, saying that they must dismantle their nuclear weapons program within two months. 

“But we want to be clear, this isn't some kind of, you know, kind of tit for tat that we had under the Obama administration, or Biden. This is the full program. Give it up, or there will be consequences,” explained Trump's National Security Adviser, Mike Waltz.

To my ears, as a former national security reporter, this sounds like a very clear threat to launch an unprovoked attack on Iran sometime in May unless Iran publicly destroys all kinds of military and nuclear research facilities. 

In 2007, the US National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) stated Iran halted an alleged active nuclear weapons program in 2003, and there is no clear evidence that Iran has an active nuclear weapons program today, so dismantling a nonexistent program in full public view so as to satisfy Trump, and Netanyahu, seems very unlikely. 

The astrological community is concerned because in the wake of the incendiary end of April aspects we've already discussed, a very concerning set of aspects relevant to the US/Iran crisis occurs in early May, around the time of Trump's Iran deadline.

In the first week of May, Jupiter will be at 21-22 degrees Gemini on top of America’s Gemini Mars in its 4th house, and on top of Trump’s Sun, opposite his Moon, as esteemed astrologer Steve Judd reported in his recent video entitled America My Friend. 

Nine of Swords, Cruelty, Waite Tarot

In the Tarot, Mars in Gemini is associated with the nine of swords, which is called Cruelty, and which is the exact opposite energy of the two of swords, known as Peace.

Mars in Gemini is a notoriously aggressive, pugnacious, and domineering placement for the red planet.

In America's birth chart, Mars in Gemini rests in the fourth house of home, family, history and traditions. America was birthed in war, and war is a national tradition.

"The United States has been fighting wars constantly since invading Afghanistan in 2001," explains the University of California Press Blog. "This nonstop warfare is far less exceptional than it might seem: the United States has been at war or has invaded other countries almost every year since independence."

"In his new book, The United States of War, David Vine traces this pattern of bloody conflict from Columbus’s 1494 arrival in Guantanamo Bay through the 250-year expansion of a global US empire," UC Press Blog explains. "Drawing on historical and firsthand anthropological research in fourteen countries and territories, The United States of War demonstrates how US leaders across generations have locked the United States in a self-perpetuating system of permanent war by constructing the world’s largest-ever collection of foreign military bases—a global matrix that has made offensive interventionist wars more likely."

We can only hope that Donald Trump will realize by mid May that a war with Iran would end any hope of achieving peaceful relations with Russia, require hundreds of thousands of American troops on the ground, disrupt global trade throughout the vital Middle East energy corridors, and trigger global economic collapse.

Regardless of whether or not America starts a war of choice with Iran a month from now, it appears that as the post World War II American world order is dismantled by Donald Trump and his enablers, the rich post-colonial countries of the West have chosen to pursue a path of military confrontation with the rising power of China, its allies Russia and Iran, and the entire Global South.

So we now have a warpspeed global arms race involving the development of new generations of drones, stealth aircraft and naval vessels, hypersonic missiles, and Artificial Intelligence programs that can be used to manage complex battlefield scenarios on land, on sea, in the air, and in space.

Since Trump returned to office, he has made it his priority to dismantle the multilateral agreements that created an international community of nations with predictable boundaries and structures governing financial flows, military and diplomatic conflicts. So much for humanitarian aid. The global community is now an outdated concept.

Countries now  jockey for an advantageous position in the fluid geo-political chaos from which a new multipolar world order will eventually emerge. 

As in American politics and economic life, we are in a global war of all against all. This is the essence of capitalism in the neoliberal age.

There is no human community in our 21st century world civilization, according to neoliberal ideology. There are only individuals acting in their own narrow economic self-interest.

As the Godmother of Neoliberalism Margaret Thatcher famously said, "I think we have gone through a period when too many children and people have been given to understand ‘I have a problem, it is the Government’s job to cope with it!’ or ‘I have a problem, I will go and get a grant to cope with it!’ ‘I am homeless, the Government must house me!’ and so they are casting their problems on society and who is society? There is no such thing! There are individual men and women and there are families and no government can do anything except through people and people look to themselves first."

The Trump/Musk administration has taken the neoliberal philosophy of hyper-individualism to the next level. 

“The fundamental weakness of western civilization is empathy,” Elon Musk told Joe Rogan in a recent podcast, discussing the need for a more authoritarian immigration regime in America. “The empathy exploit. They’re exploiting a bug in western civilization, which is the empathy response.”

In fact some evangelical leaders, like Pastor Joe Rigney have recently declared empathy to be a sin, the original sin of radical feminism. For Rigney, progressive political values flowered from “a culture of victimhood flowing from toxic female empathy. . .Empathy feeds the competitive victimhood mentality that is rampant in our society.”

And in an age of accelerating climate change emergencies, empathy is a very inconvenient feeling.

Compassion is a luxury that the billionaires and their political mandarins running the world's major nation states, from America to Europe to India and China feel they can no longer afford.

Because climate change means scarcity by definition, and therefore it means that in the absence of a global community that can agree to co-operate and share peacefully, resource wars are a given.

And the solution to resource wars -- is Fortress America!

"In March [2013], for the first time, the Director of National Intelligence, James R. Clapper, listed 'competition and scarcity involving natural resources' as a national security threat on a path and on a par with global terrorism, cyber war, and nuclear proliferation," said Congressman Michael Keating, at a hearing on the Emerging Threat of Resource Wars.

"In his 2012 book Climate Wars: What People Will be Killed in the 21st Century, German social psychologist Harald Welzer argued that the consequences stemming from the relationship between violence and climate change will 'establish different social conditions from those we have known until now' which will 'spell the end of the Enlightenment and its conception of freedom' resulting in the decline of the Western social model based on democracy and liberalism. Resource scarcity and relative economic deprivation will lead to violence, and violence, Welzer contends, is always highly adaptive and 'innovative' as it develops 'new forms and new conditions' for the use of force,"says Dr. Joanna Rozpedowski of the Center for International Policy.

It appears that the current Trump/Musk administration, with its attachment to the Dark Enlightenment faction of Silicon Valley tech bros, is beginning to implement an armed lifeboat vision for America's future, in which a much more authoritarian government will strip American citizens of their human rights, enforce strict militarized border controls, engage with all other nations as potential enemies and rivals for scarce resources, and attempt to extract maximum wealth and resources from everyone in the world, using financial weapons of mass destruction such as sanctions and tariffs, direct military intervention, covert cyberwarfare and black ops to conduct proxy wars around the world and create chaos in resource rich regions of the world, opening up those resources to an America First policy of colonialist extractivism.

Why this radical agenda? And why now?

The big picture is that the transition to green energy is failing because it relies on fossil fuels to manufacture and deploy new technologies. 

In addition, there are many industrial use cases where we do not have storage technology for green energies.

Above all, because of the Jevons paradox. The Jevons Paradox posits that the more energy that becomes available from green technologies the more energy we will use. The more we develop new green technologies and the more we tap into green sources of energy, the more uses and needs we will develop for increased energy uses of all kinds.

Jevons posits that as green energy output soars, the net use of fossil fuels still increases. The chart below illustrates this paradox, showing that although green energy production has been spiking worldwide over the last decade, fossil fuel emissions have continued to rise rapidly during the same period of time.

In the US alone we need to spend trillions of dollars to upgrade our power grids and trillions more to upgrade and retrofit offices, homes and general infrastructure, or green energy will not be able to displace fossil fuels for millions of consumers and the majority of agricultural and manufacturing businesses. 

With all these problems emerging, political elites and financial folk occupying the commanding heights of the global economy no longer see a green transition as a profitable enterprise.

Given all that, I think it’s clear that the default setting worldwide is for no meaningful progress on reducing fossil fuels, no effort to reduce consumption, no limits on the greed of the rich, widespread and escalating resource wars by increasingly nationalistic governments worldwide, billions of deaths, and a shrinking habitable ecosystem for the foreseeable future, ie the next hundred years.

This will bake in further global warming for the next several hundred years and further reduce habitat for all living beings.

Unless the vast majority of people change their consciousness quickly, confront the facts, and begin to work together to retreat from the current growth economy, tragedy will certainly result.

We are already experiencing unprecedented yearly damage from accelerating climate change.

In the next ten years, as we reach 2-3 degrees warming, some degree of civilizational collapse is now inevitable.

You don't hear about it much on social media, and the Trump administration wants to delete all mention of climate change from news, academia, science and social media, but the world's top bankers and members of America's most prestigious think tanks know the climate emergency is upon us and it is going to be ferocious.

Morgan Stanley investment bank analysts wrote in a research report last month, they “now expect a 3°C world,” and the Climate Realism Initiative recently created by the Council on Foreign Relations assumes that the world is likely on track to warm on average by three degrees or more this century. 

"In an essay outlining the founding principles of the Climate Realism Initiative, Varun Sivarum—the program’s director and a former top aide to Biden-era U.S. climate envoy John Kerry—describes a zero-sum, catastrophically climate-changed world where 'other countries will single-mindedly prioritize their own interests' and the United States should do the same. Facing climate-fueled mass migration of 'at least hundreds of millions of climate refugees [that] could upend the international order, and increasingly grisly natural disasters', the U.S. 'should provide the support it can, cooperate with countries on building resilience capabilities, and protect its borders,' as well as 'prepare for global competition for resources and military positioning that is intensifying in the melting Arctic,'" reports Kate Aronoff in The New Republic.

Perhaps we should prepare for the worst while working for the best outcome.

Meditation Practice for the Easter Festival of Resurrection

At the moment of his Death, Christ unified his own Body of Light with the etheric body of the planet, permanently infusing the energy of transcendent Self into the Earth’s aura, according to clairvoyant and Esoteric Christian spiritual teacher Rudolf Steiner.

After his death, and a descent into the underworld, Jesus Christ appeared to Mary Magdalene on Easter Sunday in his immortal, subtle energy body. Thus the Resurrection of Christ, which we celebrate this Easter Sunday, is the Feast of the appearance of the Immortal Light Body of Christ walking upon the Earth. Easter is the Feast of the manifestation of Holy Spirit within the four elements of the material creation.

Esoteric Christians know of a special mantra that encodes the entirety of these Wisdom Teachings of Jesus Christ in a few syllables, a mantra that invokes the energy of the Cosmic Christ for protection, for healing, and for sharing with those in need, those who suffer, those who are in danger of death.

This mantra was given to Jane and myself by Bishop John Rankin of the Liberal Catholic Church in the early Nineteen Eighties, when Jane and I were doing healing work with individuals infected with the HIV-AIDS virus. Bishop Rankin told us to use the mantra for our own protection and for healing others.

We have found over the years that this powerful mantra can be chanted aloud when clearing spaces of detrimental energies, or when seeking healings and clearings of individuals in need. You can also say the mantra silently over and over as you meditate and in this way bring your own aura into resonance with the energy field of the Cosmic Christ.

Here is the mantra. 

Invoke the secret name of Christ. Chant the following to yourself over and over,

"Yod, Heh, Vau, Heh, Yod, Heh, Shin, Vau, Heh", pronounced "Yod, Hey, Vow, Hey, Yod, Hey, Shin, Vow, Hey".

These Hebrew letters stand for JHVH or Jehovah, and JHSVH (Jeheshua or Jesus). The four letters comprising the name of Jehovah, YHVH, stand for the four elements, fire, water, air and earth. The fifth element, which is spirit, is called Shin. When you put Shin, or spirit in the middle of the four elements, into YHVH, you get Jeheshua, or Jesus.

Jesus indeed infused spirit into the material world through his Divine presence and ability to sacrifice everything, even his own body, for love. So chant these nine letters over and over to yourself as you meditate and breathe deeply and slowly. In this way, you can attract Christ consciousness, the spirit of Jesus, into your aura, your mind, and your heart. 

Connecting with the Cosmic Christ while out in nature at Easter time is a powerful spiritual practice that connects us to both Spirit and Nature simultaneously.

At Easter, the energy of Christ Consciousness is accessible to all aspirants through meditation upon the beautiful forms of nature, through immersion in the elements of nature, through communion with the sky, the sea, the rivers, mountains, trees, and flowers.

Sit quietly in your garden, walk slowly and thoughtfully through a park, meditate in a forest or by a running stream, and speak directly to Christ. Begin by saying the Mantra of the Cosmic Christ aloud or silently until your mind is still and peaceful.

Say his name, give thanks for his Blessing upon the Earth, and give thanks to the Earth for nurturing the spiritual evolution of human beings, and your own personal evolution.

Whether or not you are a Christian, if you have faith, if you quiet your mind, and if your intent is pure, you can hear the Christ speaking directly to you, and experience a moment of Unity with the Risen Christ impulse.

Ask and it shall be made known to you, make a request and it shall be granted to you, open your heart and the chains of ego will fall away.

Ask for your freedom and you shall be freed.

Ask for peace for yourself, your loved ones and all mankind and you shall experience the peace that passeth understanding.

This is the Christ’s Easter promise.
