I've produced digital artwork created from my drawings, collages and mixed media work since the early 1990's. Images and objects are scanned into the computer or created completely on the computer, where they are then 'painted' using various software programs like Photoshop and Painter software and a Wacom stylus. I then enlarge the image size and 'paint' virtually pixel by pixel to create these digital collages and artworks. My piece entitled Mixed Madonna won an award from Corel, the software company which created the Painter software used by digital artists.
My work hopes to function as a bridge for the mind to the realm of myth and hieroglyph, as a ritual in which the viewer consciously or unconsciously regains contact with the higher realms of consciousness embodied by intuition, mystical unity, and divine play. We are the continuous and conscious witness to our own evolution.
