Description
The first time Curtis and I saw whole brussels sprouts on the stalk was back in the early 1990's, when Roxbury Farm CSA delivered them to their members at the farm pickup site on Gansevoort Street in the Meat Market District of Manhattan, and what a surprise that was to this (then) city dweller.
Since that time, over the years, the brussels stalk has yielded many a precious jewel to our dinner table in the autumn months, and I always marvel at the spiral symmetry the sprouts exhibit as they grow up around the stalk.
If you don't belong to a community sponsored agriculture farm, you probably can only enjoy these beauties right off the stalk, if you peruse a farmer's market. It is well worth the trip!!
Brussels Spiral is offered in a signed, limited edition of 250, printed on 11" x 8.5" archival matte paper. The photo can be printed on glossy photo paper, so contact me if you would prefer that option.
