Long Clear Quartz Laser Wand

Some quartz crystals, lilke this lovely specimen from Diamantina are perfect examples of a crystalline structure created by what is known as the "Muzo crystal growth habit". You can see three thin faces on the termination tip and three wider faces. Two of the thin faces resemble tall diamonds.

This habit was first described by Rykart, commenting on crystals from Muzo in Colombia. A similar crystal "habit" or structure has also been found on rock crystals from pegmatites in Minas Gerais, Brazil, and from alpinotype vugs in Switzerland.

Many clear quartz crystals from these areas, commonly known as "Laser wands", display the defining characteristics of the "Muzo habit". Muzo habit crystals display horizontal striations up and down the shaft, and can form very steep termination tips, such that a cross section of the upper end of the shaft appears triangular, although the lower body of the shaft remains hexagonal in shape.

These Laser Wands exhibit a large female end, and a steadily narrowing hexagonal shaft with three wide faces and three narrow faces, leading to an extremely sharp male termination tip.

Crystal healers have discovered that this creates a crystal that is ideal for receiving, amplifying and transmitting a highly focused, coherent stream of Universal Life Force Energy, which is very helpful for meditation and for energy treatments.

The energy enters through the female end of the wand and as the energy spirals down the shaft, it is amplified by every face it encounters.
