Obsidian is a silicon-rich glassy substance formed by the rapid cooling of volcanic material. Often quite dark and opaque, obsidian also occurs as translucent or transparent, gemmy material that is prized by jewelers, toolmakers and Lightworkers alike.

Because of its lack of a highly defined inner crystalline structure, obsidian can be fashioned into extremely thin and durable, super-sharp blades, and was used in prehistorical times for fashioning tools and weapons, while modern toolmakers create surgical scalpel blades with almost molecular thinness from this unique substance.

I continued to enjoy the feeling of muscles relaxing, and I realized as my legs and feet relaxed, that the reason I normally get sore after prolonged meditation is that I am still trying to push energy around while meditating. This makes my body tense up.

It's hard work keeping my mind "alert" yet "empty" and when there is a strong intent, the will forces engage, and often the body tenses as a result.
