Description
This gorgeous, energetically powerful Tibetan Blue Obsidian Mini Radiant Heart Pendant with Marquise Cut Pink Tourmaline gemstone crown and Teardrop Danburite Gemstone comes complete with its own 18" long sterling silver chain in a velveteen jewelry box for safekeeping.
This energetically powerful Tibetan Blue Obsidian Radiant Heart pendant comes from the banks of the Yarlung Zangbo River. The Zangbo is the highest altitude major river in the world, originating in the Tamlung Tso Lake in Western Tibet, southeast of Mount Kailash, one of the most sacred sites on Planet Earth.
This beautiful, extremely rare gemstone pendant imparts the unique energy signature of the High Himalayas. Jane and I feel a taste of that "peace that passeth understanding" when meditating with this Blue Obsidian, and we feel that there is a reason this particular stone has recently come onto the world markets -- because Lightworkers, meditators and healers definitely need the specific vibrations imparted by this remarkable stone.
The Radiant Heart pendant resembles a crystal lotus whose myriad flower petals hold and reflect brilliant light, giving the stone the appearance of a kaleidoscope.
The Radiant Heart pendant is an energetically powerful design from the creators of the Flower of Life and Magician Stone pendants, who call it an "evolutionary tool to assist us in expanding our ability to hold and create Unconditional Love, so that we too may 'crystallize' the wisdom of the One Heart that unites all life in Love."
Mineralogical and Metaphysical Qualities of Tibetan Blue Obsidian
Obsidian is a silicon-rich glassy, vitreous mineral formed by the rapid cooling of volcanic material. Often quite dark and opaque, most often black, green, brown or white, obsidian also occurs as translucent or transparent, sky-blue gemmy material that is prized by jewelers, toolmakers and Lightworkers alike.
Because of its lack of a highly defined inner crystalline structure, obsidian can be fashioned into extremely thin and durable, super-sharp blades, and was used in prehistorical times for fashioning tools and weapons, while modern toolmakers create surgical scalpel blades with almost molecular thinness from this unique substance.
Blue obsidian, which rarely occurs as transparent, gemstone quality material, energizes the throat chakra, which is associated with the color blue in the Western chakra system, while engaging Higher Mind, enabling the bearer to concentrate during clairvoyant sessions, and is thus highly useful to those engaged in telepathic communications during meditation, or in pre-cognitive activities such as Tarot card reading or divinations of all kinds. In addition, blue obsidian is an ideal stone for use during astral travel, providing protection while facilitating the journey.
Blue Obsidian strengthens the flow of Universal Life Force energy, also known as chi or prana in the region of the throat chakra, enhancing the bearer's ability to communicate spiritual truths and facilitating the ability to communicate through the compassionate heart while connecting to inner spiritual guidance. Blue obsidian is used to develop clairvoyance and enhance the bearer's ability to channel messages from Spirit.
Obsidian is considered by crystal healers and shamanic practitioners to be an excellent grounding stone which provides a shield of energetic protection around the bearer.
In meditation, Jane and I have found that Tibetan Blue Obsidian helps relax the physical body, quiet the mind, and energize the heart chakra.
I was meditating with my Tibetan Blue-Green Obsidian meditation stone, which is rough and uncut, and the size of a quail egg, when I started to feel all the tiny muscles around my eyes relax. Then the relaxation spread to my entire face, my shoulders, my arms and hands, down into my chest, trunk, and belly.
I continued to enjoy the feeling of muscles relaxing, and I realized as my legs and feet relaxed, that the reason I normally get sore after prolonged meditation is that I am still trying to push energy around while meditating. This makes my body tense up.
It's hard work keeping my mind "alert" yet "empty" and when there is a strong intent, the will forces engage, and often the body tenses as a result. The more expectations I have about my practice, the more devoted I am, in fact, the more I may tense into the work of "meditation", which includes observing myself and my mind during meditation, rather than simply relaxing into present moment awareness.
Yes, I realized, relaxation is the key to prolonged, deep meditation. Thank you Tibetan Blue Green Obsidian, for reminding me of that, and for helping me to simply allow the flow of Being to be present in this body. When the body feels that Flow, the body automatically begins to relax, and when the mind enters that Flow as well, then true meditation can begin.
Tibetan Blue Obsidian is a powerful, protective stone, which brings the purity of the rivers of the High Himalayas to your energy field. In fact crystal healers recommend Blue Obsidian to all those who seek to remove unwanted energetic attachments from their auric fields. We all have a myriad of energetic attachments to other people -- our families, friends, co-workers, loved ones, and even those with whom we interact casually in our world, including in cyberspace!
Sometimes those energetic attachments can act as conduits for negative emotions, unwanted energies, and unpleasant thought-forms that are truly alien to our own being.
This is why all spiritual practices teach ways to disconnect from the energy fields of the mass of humanity. Lightworkers, shamanic healers, crystal healers, meditators, and energy workers all have developed a myriad of practices, rituals and exercises designed to detach these energetic “hooks and cords” from our auras and our chakra system.
Blue Obsidian provides a potent protection from the flow of undesirable thoughts, emotions and energies in our environment which have their origins in the negativity of other people with whom we come in contact day and night.
Tibetan Blue Obsidian is a stone of personal protection and physical relaxation, a stone of truth-telling, a stone of deep meditation, and above all a stone that connects the bearer to the elementals, devas and nature-spirits who inhabit the elevated regions of the Himalayan Mountains. This is the place where Earth's mightiest rivers are born -- where snow melt powers the world's cleanest alpine water, fresh from its vortexial flow down steep mountainous streams, to merge into powerful flows that reach down into China and India and Southeast Asia, providing for the needs of billions of people.
Yarlung Zangbo River Valley
Himalayan Rivers include the Indus, Ganges, Yangtze, Brahmaputra, Salween, Mekong, Xunjiang Red River (Asia), Irrawaddy River, Chao Phraya, Syr Darya, Amu Darya, Tarim River and Yellow River.
"The collective catchment area of the Himalayan Rivers houses around 3 billion people (nearly 50% of the population of the world) in Bangladesh, Afghanistan, People's Republic of China, Bhutan, Nepal, India, Cambodia, Burma, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Thailand, Kyrgyzstan, Vietnam, Laos, Pakistan, and Malaysia," according to mapsofindia.com.
Properties of Danburite
Danburite is a very hard stone with a Mohs' hardness of 7-7.5, comparable to sapphires, tourmalines and garnets. Danburite is most often yellowish, brown, or white, but mineral collectors prefer the more rare pink coloration.
Named after the town of Danbury, Connecticut, where this gemstone was first discovered, Danburite presents a vitreous luster, and is prized by jewelers because its extreme hardness and poverty of cleavage enables highly faceted gemstones to be cut from this precious mineral.
Pink Danburite energizes and activates the heart chakra, providing the energetic protection that gives us a feeling of emotional safety and personal power that facilitates the opening of the heart to others, loved ones, friends, family, and indeed the whole of humanity, and all of creation. This gemstone is a stone of compassion, and provides emotional healing that can mend the wounded heart.
The metaphysical community prizes Danburite for its ability to connect the bearer to sources directly to sources of Higher Wisdom and to vast libraries of information located in the "akashic records". "Akasha," in Sanskrit, means "brilliant," "shining" or "luminous." "Akashic records" is a theosophical term referring to a universal library of light which records every thought, word, and action, past, present and future, and the templates for all structures and processes in the material world. These records are impressed on a subtle substance called akasha or Soniferous Ether.
Danburite is also known for its ability to help you connect with Higher Self and Higher Purpose, while enhancing your ability to co-operate with others in group activities beneficial to all involved.
In addition, Danburite energizes the entire energy system, body, mind and aura, opening the chakras and increasing the flow of prana, or Universal Life Force energy. For this reason, you may find that using Danburite during meditation or other spiritual practices can result in increased body temperature, tingling sensations in the spine, and in the perception of an "expanded aura".
Properties of Pink Tourmaline
Tourmaline is the name given to a family of minerals forming hard, slender vertically striated prismatic crystals, often hexagonal, trigonal or rhombohedral in shape, with a high specific gravity, classified as complex aluminum borosilicate. Tourmaline is an igneous mineral that commonly forms in granites and granitic pegmatites.
Like quartz, tourmaline crystals will generate an electrical charge when pressure is applied in the direction of the vertical axis. This is called piezoelectricity. In addition, some tourmaline will generate an electrical charge when heated.
Tourmaline is the birthstone for the month of October and the Zodiacal sign of Libra. In ancient Hindu tradition, the tourmaline is a stone of motivation, which impels the wearer toward the good, and a "teller" stone that gives insight in times of duress and can identify sources of distress in the wearer's environment.
Shamanic practitioners in African, Native American and Aboriginal tribes have used tourmaline for centuries to provide protection from physical danger and to amplify healing powers.
Common tourmaline is black, and the lighter colors, such as blue and light green, are much more rare. The colors in the stones are created by the presence of various metallic ions such as iron, titanium, chromium, and others. The various colors of tourmaline are associated with the seven primary chakras within the human aura.
Metaphysically speaking, pink tourmaline is an excellent stone used to energize the heart chakra, imparting a feeling of love, peace, serenity & deep compassion for all living beings. Pink tourmaline helps us to see with the heart, to combine a masculine strength with compassionate creativity
We often use crystals, pendants and wands for psychic protection, purification and to clarify things of a spiritual nature. See our article on Psychic Self Defense for more information along these lines with many suggestions on how to protect yourself from unwanted energies.
